RF Microneedling
Good preparation and aftercare help you get the best, safest results. These are general guidelines. Alma will review your skin, health history and medications at your consultation and give you personalized instructions, which always come first. Questions after your visit? Call or text 210-952-3679.
Before Your Treatment
- A consultation is required first so Alma can confirm RF microneedling is right for you.
- Avoid sunburn and tanning for 2 weeks before.
- Stop retinoids, exfoliating acids and scrubs 5 to 7 days before.
- Tell us if you have a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device, metal implants in the treatment area, are pregnant, or have a history of cold sores. These can affect whether treatment is right for you.
- Come with clean skin and no makeup.
After Your Treatment
- Redness, mild swelling and tiny marks are normal and usually settle within 2 to 4 days.
- No makeup for at least 24 hours.
- Use only gentle cleanser and moisturizer for the first few days. Avoid retinoids, acids and scrubs for about 1 week.
- Avoid sweating, saunas, swimming and hard workouts for 48 hours.
- Wear broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher and avoid direct sun.
- Results build gradually over the following weeks as new collagen forms.
Call us if you notice blistering, signs of infection, or anything that worries you. For severe reactions, seek medical care right away.
